Before you apply
What recruiting looks like
Nova recruits UC Berkeley undergraduates once each semester. No prior consulting experience is expected.
Who can apply
Any UC Berkeley undergraduate, in any major and any year. Members come from business, engineering, economics, design, and the sciences, and that mix is the point.
What the process involves
Attend an info session, submit a written application by the deadline, then move through interviews that include a conversational round and a case discussion. The case is meant to show how you think, not whether you have memorized a framework.
Time commitment
Members work on one client engagement per semester alongside team meetings and club-wide events. Expect a consistent weekly commitment rather than an occasional one.
How to prepare
Come to an info session, book a coffee chat with a current member, and be ready to talk about a problem you have actually worked through.
Coffee chats
Ask us anything first
Applicants are welcome to chat with current members before applying. Please book no more than 3 chats — availability is limited.
URM coffee chats
Nova offers optional coffee chats connecting applicants who identify as underrepresented minorities with current URM members, so you can hear directly about their experience in the club.
Sign-ups open with the next recruiting cycle.
